Big time boxing returned to Portsmouth with a bang last night.

A decent crowd packed into the Mountbatten Centre to roar the next generation of professionals on to success.

And those who turned out weren’t disappointed as they saw a host of entertaining bouts.

Debut-making Ryan Moore caught the eye with an explosive first-round stoppage of Iain Jackson.

Mark Coombs looked impressive on the way to a comprehensive points win over Andrew Patterson.

Floyd Moore delivered a home soil success over Robin Deakin and shone on the way to the points verdict.

Joel McIntyre did enough to get the job done in his return against survivor Elvis Dube, gaining the clear decision over four rounds.

And there was a treat as fans got a sight of Nigerian King Davidson, who looked a class act stopping Dimitrij Kalinovskij in two rounds.

Ben Kneller’s debut ended in frustration as he was stopped in the second by Lee Jevons.

Southampton pair Jon Fernandes and Matty Tew both continued their unbeaten runs with wins.
