Portsmouth boxing is back in the national spotlight.
Sky Sports last night screened a feature on the emergence of Heart of Portsmouth (HOP).
The club has had a huge impact both on the city and nationally since its formation in 2008.
The News has led the way reporting on the success of the club and the likes of European champion Ebonie Jones, Olympic hopeful Greg Bridet and brothers Walid and Ahmed Adenas, who arrived in the city from war-torn Sudan.
They are highlighted in the feature, along with HOP’s link-up with Charter Academy and their pioneering Boxing Awards programme – which is now taught nationwide.
