FLOYD MOORE claimed the Southern Area title in explosive fashion tonight in London.
The Fareham braveheart served up a night to remember with a devastating fourth-round stoppage of Gloucester’s Danny Carter.
That makes the lightweight the first boxer from the Portsmouth are to win the area crown for the second time.
Moore, backed by an army of hundreds of fans at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, brought the contest to a close with a fearsome display of body punching.
A first salvo saw Carter hit the canvas and bravely beat the count before a second onslaught saw a stoppage and pandemonium ensue.
Moore stated the moment ranked with his first title victory - and paid tribute to his legion of backers.
He said: ‘It feels fantastic.
‘I didn’t think winning it again would feel as good as doing it the first time.
‘But it feels just as good if not better.
‘And what an atmosphere to do it in - I can’t thank my supporters enough.’
