Sammy Couzens will join his brother Danny in big fight action next weekend.

Couzens has been added to the bill at the York Hall in London when Danny meets Leon Williams for the Southern Area cruiserweight title.

On the same bill, Paul Morby co-headlines in his return with Daniel Cadman in Bethnal Green.

Super-middleweight Sammy Couzens has his hands full as he takes on American Emmanuel Oshunrinde.

The former basketball star has crossed over sports and taken to the noble art since arriving on these shores.

Couzens will have to overcome a major height disadvantage, with Oshunrinde standing at 6ft 3in.

But his trainer Jack Bishop is confident Couzens has the fighting spirit to overcome his opponent.

He said: ‘Sammy could be in at the deep end with this one.

‘I don’t know too much about the opponent, apart from his background in other sports.

‘He’s not had too many fights since becoming a pro, so we’ll have to wait and see.

‘It’s only a four-rounder, though, and Sammy is always in very good condition.

‘He had a big year last year and doesn’t want to stand still.

‘He keeps asking for fights and is very keen to push on and achieve things. So this is a chance for him to impress.’
