Michael Carberry could be set to win international honours at The Ageas Bowl after he was named in the England Twenty20 squad.

The 32-year-old opener has been in sensational form for Hampshire this season.

He is joined by club-mate Danny Briggs who has also been included in the squad for the two-match series against Australia.

The first match takes place at The Ageas Bowl on Thursday, August 29.

Captain Stuart Broad, Steven Finn and Joe Root are the only members of England’s Ashes winners to be named in the 14-man squad.
