Hampshire pace bowler Simon Jones has left the club to rejoin Glamorgan.
The former England star has signed a two-year deal with the Welsh side, who were his boyhood club having signed for them as a 16 year-old in 1998.
It brings an end to a two-year stay at The Rose Bowl in which Jones took 37 wickets in 22 matches, despite suffering from a long-term injury for much of his spell.
Jones said: ‘I’ve got very mixed emotions on leaving The Rose Bowl. I mean, what a place to play your cricket.
‘It’s not just the surroundings or the playing area, it’s everything that is The Rose Bowl; the office staff, supporters, playing staff and ground staff – they all have special memories for me.’
