Vince: Team of Hampshire’s quality should not be beaten like that

Have your say

James Vince struck a brilliant century to help England Lions earn a draw in their second unofficial Test against South Africa A.

The Hampshire batsman, who led the County Championship run charts last summer, hit 152 not out as the tourists battled to a draw in Bloemfontein.

Vince’s knock, which spanned 292 balls and included 22 fours and a six, saw the Lions close on 402 for seven.

He had earlier made 31 in England’s first innings of 260 and taken one for 38 as the hosts racked up 421.

The result ensured the two-match series was drawn.
