Hampshire’s quest for a third T20 Blast title will begin with a home clash against Glamorgan.

The domestic t20 competition gets under way on Friday, July 6 2018 and the Ageas Bowl outfit will again be one of the favourites for the competition.

Hampshire pride themselves on their record in the tournament.

They have won the competition twice, last clinching it in 2012, and have suffered semi-final heartbreak in four of the past five years.

James Vince’s troops fell to a 23-run defeat against Nottingham in the last four at Edgbaston in September.

In T20 Blast south group, James Vince’s troops will face Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex Sharks home and away.

Giles White. Hampshire director of cricket, said: ‘Our opening fixture against Glamorgan should be a great match-up as they’re a side full of explosive batsman.

‘Hopefully the weather is kind because it’s in a block, and we can hit the ground running to begin the competition.

‘We’ve got good pedigree in the T20 competition, so hopefully we can get off to a good start again in 2018 and kick on from there.’

T20 Blast Finals Day will take place on Saturday, 15 September 2018 at Edgbaston.
