ROB GIBSON struck a second consecutive half-century as Havant completed a routine eight-wicket win over Ventnor in the Southern Electric Premier League premier division.
The Durham University student hit 83 on his league return last week and then followed that with an unbeaten 67 against the bottom club.
The Islanders were bowled out for just 126 as Andy Gorvin (four for 37) and Chris Morgan (four for 39) did the damage.
Havant’s reply got off to a shaky start as they were reduced to seven for two.
But Gorvin then joined Gibson and the pair put on an unbroken stand of 121 to get their side home inside 21 overs.
Player-coach Pete Hopson said: ‘We bowled really, really well.
‘For a player who had a tough time in Durham, Gibbo has come back and hit two fifties.
‘He loves playing for Havant. The atmosphere suits him.’
