The final Hampshire Cross-Country League meeting of the season saw Alex Teuten and Zack Lahlal crowned individual champions.

Teuten completed a memorable victory in the senior men’s event on Saturday.

He powered to his second win of the series.

The City of Portsmouth athlete finished the final race at King’s Park in Bournemouth in a time of 29min 55sec – 54 seconds clear of his nearest rival.

Teuten’s overall score of nine points included a fourth, a third, and two first-place finishes. He was 25 points ahead of second place.

Bournemouth’s Great Britain international Steve Way was fourth, highlighting the calibre of the field left trailing by Teuten.

Chichester’s James Baker picked up sixth place (31.47).

Victory’s Lahlal did not compete in the final meeting but still won the under-20 series by a point.

City of Portsmouth’s Matt Smith was fifth in the final race – earning him the silver medal overall.

Victory’s senior men took the team gold medal in division three.

City of Portsmouth finished seventh in division one, while University of Portsmouth secured second in division two.

Also, City picked up silvers in the team under-15 girls and under-13 girls.

Lachlan Wellington (under-15, bronze), Olivia Wiseman (under-13, silver) and Elizabeth Rose (under-15, bronze) secured individual medals for City.
