The Gosport BMX starlet powered to success as almost 700 of the best riders in the land descended on his club's Alver Valley headquarters.

That took him as step closer to the male 15 crown as he strengthened his grip on top spot in the standings with two rounds remaining.

However, Campbell was not the only home talent to shine on the south-coast ramps and berms.

Ellie Junker continued a consistent campaign with two second places across the bank holiday weekend.

She is currently sitting in second spot in the national female 16 rankings ahead of the rescheduled finale in Leicester at the end of this month.

Lucy Simpson, Emilia Shakles and Bethany Fletcher are all flying high in the National Series, too.

Simpson, who sits third overall in the female 10 age group, recorded a second place and third place across the weekend.

Shakles pedalled to glory in the 17-plus challenger category on the second day of action. She is also sitting pretty in third overall.

Meanwhile, 17-29 cruiser contender Fletcher bagged a third place on day one to leave her third in the series.

In the six-and-under championship, Mille Granger flew the Gosport BMX flag with back-to-back third places to underline her potential.

And Michelle Eaton, in the 30-plus cruiser class, notched a second followed by a third in front of her own fans.

More podiums followed for Gosport talents Ronnie Richards (male seven), Benjamin Larkins (male eight), Ben Mosley (male nine) and James Trowbridge (male 10).

Larkins followed up his opening result with victory in the B final on the second day of racing.
