Portland Arms stormed back from 3-1 down to beat Fawcett Inn 6-3 in division D of the Portsmouth Men’s League.

Ben Watson got Portland up and running with the first leg but Fawcett then took command of the match.

Jason Appleton, Steve Goodeve and Mark Standen put them 3-1 up.

That was as good as it got for Fawcett, though.

Portland responded with Dave Stewart, Liam O’Driscoll, Keith Mayne, Julian Whelan and Asa Norris all on the mark.

In division C, Malvin Waters took the deciding leg for Oyster House B as they defeated Froddington A 5-4.

Malcolm Smith had put Oyster ahead with an 18-dart leg.

Brian Stewart and Mark Donnelly then turned the tables to give Froddington a 2-1 lead.

Darren Trace replied for Oyster and Frank Butcher hit a 180 to put them 3-2 ahead.

David Hatherley got the fourth for Oyster but Froddington’s Daniel Browne and David Lock took it to the decider.

Eldon Arms recorded a 5-4 success against Clarence Gardens in division E.

Chris Townsend was handed a walkover in the opener for Gardens.

Michael Chandler, Liam Elliott, Martin Dean and Jon Davison won three on the bounce for Eldon.

Michael Bowbrick pulled one back but James Elliott then struck to put Eldon one short of victory.

Glen Booth replied to keep Gardens in the match and take it to a decider, with Joe Rumsey finishing the job for Eldon.

Stag A broke their duck in division 
A with a 6-3 success against Lord Chichester A.

Mark Smith, Mick Neilson, Andy Smith, Paul Hooker, Stephen Wain and Peter Scott recorded wins for Stag.

Ray Williams, Pete Curtis and Terry Dugan replied for Lord Chichester.

Pickwick B’s Lee O’Donovan had the fastest leg of the week with an 18-dart effort and he also recorded a 138 finish.

Dan Eade and Lee Smith were in form for Phoenix B as they both recorded 17-dart legs. Eade also hit a 180.

Austin Main also achieved a 17-dart leg for Artillery.

Andy Newcombe, Scott O’Brian and Chris Jafkins were also in good nick as they recorded 18-dart legs.

Paul Richmond and Shane Filleul both fired 180s for Newcome A, while Darren Barnes and Tony Quintavalle each threw 19-dart legs.
