LEE O’DONOVAN is guaranteed at least a share of the highest check-out award in division A after firing a 170 game-shot.

The Froddington Arms B ace is currently leading the standings on his own ahead of the resumption of the league after the Christmas break.

Dean Jones (Newcome Arms A) and Vic Smith (Mr Pickwick) lead the chase for the quickest leg of 501. Both have recorded 12-darters.

Seven players head the aggregate rankings.

Rob Newland, James Brooker (both Admiral Drake B), Andy Newcombe (Jolly Taxpayer C), Mason Riou (Mr Pickwick), Dave Robinson (Newcome Arms A), Steve Phillips (Old House at Home B) and Ross Hughes (Rose in June B) all remain undefeated for the season so far.

In division B, only Rob Knowles (Graham Arms A) and David Clarke (Jolly Taxpayer B) have won every game so far.

Harvest Home lead the quickest game stakes, with both John Hansford and Sam Palmer firing in 16-dart legs.

David Place jnr (British Queen) has the biggest finish to date, a 99 game-shot.

Darren Barnes’ (Froddington Arms A) 18-dart leg is setting the pace for division C and a 110 check-out by Daniel Graf (Stag C) has yet to be bettered.

Darren Maplesden (Druid Arms), Malcolm Smith (Old Canal B) and Lee Simmons (Raven B) all boast 100-per-cent records.

It’s no surprise George & Dragon A are leading division D, with four of the six undefeated players in the fourth-tier coming from the side.

Daniel Browne, Kevin Hayes, Anthony Plummer and Malcolm Tilley are joined by Jim McIsaac (Phoenix North End C) and Chris Hilton (Tap).

Gavin Hall’s (Phoenix North End C) 18-dart leg is the fastest in the division so far.

Mark Donnelly (Froddington Arms C) has the highest finish of 110.

Jon Stevens (Shepherds Crook) leads the way in division E with an 18-dart leg.

Stevens is also undefeated for the season so far, along with Wayne Callister, Paul Simmons (both Alma Arms), Tony Price, Gary Tobitt, Chris Wallis (all Newcome Arms B), Liam O’Driscoll, Joe Sweetman (both Portland Arms), Robert Ford (Rose in June A) and Mark Barnes (Stag B).

The highest finish to date belongs to Rob Simmons (Alma Arms) and Phil Ponsford (George & Dragon B) who have 98 game-shots to their names.
