Artillery Arms A shot down Stag C in Portsmouth League division B as they came from behind to win 6-3.

Mark Cunningham, Ron Farmer snr and Dion Jukes moved Stag 3-1 up.

Only Austin Main was on the mark early on for Artillery.

However, momentum shifted as Barry Lennard, Darrell Manchip, Roy Morran, Jonathan Cooper and Paul Richardson secured a convincing win to leave Stag disappointed.

Artillery Arms B were also on good form.

They defeated a depleted Harvest Home side 5-4 to stay in division C’s promotion places.

Harvest took a 2-0 lead through Sam Palmer and Graeme Cooper.

But a walkover for Dennis Hatherley and a win from Les Saunders restored parity for Artillery.

Cliff Hart and Dave Stewart restored Harvest’s two-leg advantage but Artillery took the remaining ties through Malcolm Smith, Lee Lamkin snr and a walkover for Frank Butcher.

Phoenix North End C moved up to second in division D.

They recorded a 6-3 success against Druids Arms.

Pete Smith and Dean Messenbird struck for Phoenix but Matt Littlefield and Peter Smith levelled it up.

Mike Feaver scored 180 to edge Phoenix back in front before Darren Maplesden replied for Druids.

Trevor Cawte, Joe Standen and Dave Patourel sealed the win for Phoenix.

Oyster House went top of division E with a 5-4 win over Trafalgar Arms.

Chris Cobb snr and Chris Cobb jnr put Oyster 2-0 up.

Jon MacDonald and Alex Hood also won legs for Oyster while Des Frith and Daniel Farmer kept Trafalgar in the contest.

Oyster’s Joshua Hewitson then grabbed the key victory before Tim Smith and Joseph Abbotts recorded consolations.

Froddington Arms B cemented their place in the top half of division A with a 6-3 victory over Lord Chichester A.

Darren Barnes and Chris Jafkins – 18-dart leg – moved Froddington 2-0 ahead but Chichester hit straight back through Terry Dugan and Ian Salter.

Lee O’Donovan, Laim Jafkins, with a 180, Paul La Roche and Ron Jafkins sealed the win for Froddington.

Steve Ketchen took the last set as a consolation for Chichester.

James Brooker (Admiral Drake B) recorded a 15-dart leg while his team-mate Ricky Williams and Bruce Baker (Pelham Arms A) both threw 16-darters.

Steve Phillips (Old House at Home B) had a pair of 17-dart efforts and Shane Williams, Ian Pearce (both Rose in June B), Gary Collis (Admiral Drake B) and Dave Robinson (Newcome Arms A) all had 18-darters with Robinson and Williams checking out on 100 and Collis scoring 180.

Jason Crawley (Phoenix North End B) hit a 152 game shot, Barry Stevens (Admiral Drake B) finished on 120 and John Madgwick jnr (Lord Chichester B) and Lester Miles (Graham Arms B) both registered 115 check-outs.

Lee Simmons (Raven B), Shane Filleul (Newcome Arms A), Steve Cole (Electric Arms), Kevin Mills (Jolly Taxpayer C) and Rob White (Jolly Taxpayer C) all fired in maximums.
