Double joy in superb Bayside 5k race

ANDY SIMPSON and Jen Elkins repeated the trick as they each made it two wins from two races in the Bayside 5k Series.

The impressive duo have been in great form.

Last night they made it two out two in the superb series managed by Nice Work on behalf of Absolute Running, in Gosport.

Simpson finished first with a time of 16min 58sec and Elkins bagged her second win clocking 18.15.

A total of 124 runners finished race two with great club turnouts again.

Simpson said: ‘I like the windy conditions, it suits me.

‘You put a brick wall up and I will try to run through it. I do like the challenge.’

Elkins added: ‘I found it a lot harder in the wind. Last month it was so much easier for me but it was still good.

‘It’s a lovely event.’

The 1k junior race again proved popular as well.
