‘The 2016 season was a real disappointment with the injury – especially after everything went so well for me the year before – so I can’t wait for the season to start to get back among the wickets again and try to help the team win.’
Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: ‘He’s worked tirelessly to get back towards full fitness since suffering the injury and we’re pleased with the progress he’s made so far.
‘The variety that he brings to our bowling attack with his injection of pace is a real plus and he’s a great character to have in the changing room too – I know he’s looking forward to being back and it’s a great boost for everyone at the club.’
