The action-packed Believe & Achieve RNLI Tri Adventure Race proved a big hit.

Around 70 participants took on the challenge of the two-mile kayak, 6k run, 30k bike ride.

Organiser Rob Piggott said: ‘It is a fun event.

‘It is designed to introduce people to a wider variety of different sports and activities on offer in Portsmouth.

‘We had lots of prizes and food for after. Everyone’s a winner.’

Believe & Achieve will host the Big City Adventure Challenge in Portsmouth on Sunday, October 11 – also a run, bike, kayak event.

Before that the RNLI 10k and Southsea Pirates Pieces of Eight races take place on Sunday, October 4. They are ideal for anyone who is in training for the Great South Run, or looking for a fun seafront race with a good, friendly atmosphere.
