Alan Leppard (Green) and Roy Lowe (Blue) went head-to-head in rink three.

Leppard's rink started well to go 10-4 up after six ends, but Lowe fought back to make the score 12-12 after 12 ends.

They were unable to maintain that momentum, though, as Leppard & Co eventually ran out 20-16 winners.

Meanwhile, Banister Gold sneaked home 48-44 in their titantic tussle with Milton Park.

The first rink between Mark Barnes (Banister) and Len Reeves (Milton) proved a tight affair.

There was never more than a couple of shots between them, with the score level at 16-16 up to the penultimate end.

That meant a last-end shootout which saw Reeves' Milton rink score two to claim a 18-16 win.

On the second rink between Pete Lebbern (Banister) and Mick Brown (Milton), it was Lebbern's rink who dominated, finishing 23-6 winners.

The third rink match between Doreen Harris (Banister skip) and Dave Brown (Milton skip) saw a reversal of the previous game, with Brown's rink dominating to claim a 20-9 win.
