The AFC Portchester striker has signed for Isthmian League Premier Division club Bognor Regis after a successful trial.

Parish scored against Selsey and Horndean in his two pre-season appearances for Jack Pearce’s Rocks before picking up a hamstring injury.

The man who scored 18 league and cup goals for Baffins and Portchester last has now signed for the Sussex club.

Parish has been a consistent marksman at Wessex level for several years.

In 2015/16 he netted 28 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Portchester, and in 2018/19 he struck 27 times in 42 games for Baffins.

Royals boss Mick Catlin has now seen two forwards depart for higher-division clubs in the space of as any months, following Dan Wooden’s return to Gosport Borough.

But Catlin is not short of strike options - Lee Wort and Craig Harding both featured in Tuesday’s 4-0 FA Cup win against Sandhurst.

Wort was prolific at Wessex level for Sholing, while Harding was among the Wessex Premier’s top scorers for Alresford last season.

Parish is one of a handful of injury worries for Rocks at present - also sidelined is his ex-Baffins colleague Ashton Leigh, former Pompey striker Brad Lethbridge and ex-Hawks midfielder Jake Flannigan.
