Baffins suffered defeat at Sholing… Moneyfield victorious against Slimbridge

BAFFINS MILTON ROVERS suffered a 3-1 loss at Sholing in the Wessex League premier division. 

Rovers fell behind in the 34th minute when Lee Wort netted for the hosts.

Sholing’s lead was doubled in the 50th minute when visiting keeper Cameron Scott’s clearance ricocheted off his own player and rebounded into the empty net.

The hosts wrapped up the three points in the 80th minute through Daniel Mason. 

Jason Parish scored a late consolation for Steve Leigh’s side.

Meanwhile, AFC PORTCHESTER defeated Shaftesbury 3-1 at the Crest Finance Stadium. 

HORNDEAN were held to a 1-1 draw at Bashley, while FAREHAM clinched a 2-2 stalemate against Andover New Street at Cams Alder.

In the Southern League division one south, MONEYFIELDS battled to a 1-0 win over Slimbridge courtesy of Joe Briggs’ 78th-minute strike at Dover Road.
