Awford: Melville the right man for recruitment
Andy Awford feels he’s found the right man to head up his recruitment set-up.
Andy Melville has been made Pompey’s new head of player recruitment, after Martin Hinshelwood left the club last month.
Awford believes the former Wales international was the standout candidate for the role.
He said: ‘We interviewed very thoroughly for it.
‘There were a lot of very high calibre applicants.
‘But Andy was the man who stood out
‘Now we will look at the structure moving forward.’
