Bad weather made for a scrappy game, with neither side able to keep possession.

In the 29th minute, Gosport had a chance to equalise through a free-kick but Connor Hoare sent his effort wide.

The hosts did get a goal back soon after when Patrick Surachifired his shot into the bottom of the goal.

With one minute of the half left, Ramsgate re-took the lead through a Kyron Lightfoot. volley.

Borough had two good chances after the break, but Craig McAllister found himself offside before Surachi's cross into the box was cleared.

Ramsgate got their third goal in the 60th minute after a stunning free-kick into the top corner by Lightfoot.

But the home side quickly reduced the deficit two minutes later.

A melee in front of goal following a corner saw McAllister put the ball into the net.

Just past the hour mark, Gosport were reduced to 10 men after Eddie Wakley got a red card for pulling Aaron Millbank's shirt as he rounded on O'Flaherty.

The visitors started to control possession and Lightfoot almost got his hat-trick but was denied by the Borough goalkeeper.

With four minutes of time added on, Gosport put men forward in a desperate attempt to find an equaliser but the game ended 3-2.
