It was 5-5 at the end of normal time with Southdowns eventually progressing 7-5 thanks to goals from Brandon Elliott (3), John Cass, Brandon Newman, George Root and Michael Viggor.

Lamin Jatta struck a consolation hat-trick for Portchester with Dion Agyeman and Ashley Donald also scoring.

There were also red cards for Brad Cook (Portchester) and Frankie Davis (Southdowns).

Seagull continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 5-1 victory over fellow Portsmouth Sunday League Division 2 side Freehouse.

Reece Tuppen (2), Lewis Brailey, Chad Musselwhite and Brodie Spencer netted with Andy Oliver replying.

Fred Penfold grabbed a brace as Jameson Arms continued their good start to 2020/21 with a 4-1 victory over Port South. Frankie Kemp and Tom O'Neil completed the scoring.

Division 2 Wheelwrights Old Boys knocked out top flight North End Cosmos 3-2.

Glyn Cooper (2) and Bradley Hansler were on target with Allan Shaw and Luke Channer replying.

Division 5 Hatton Rovers beat Division 6 AFC Trades Reserves 4-3 with goals from Oakley Mallinson, Liam Karim, Jasper Puncher and Ashley Singelton. Ivon Mayor and Ben Haskett (2) replied.

Fratton Trades beat AFC Fairfields 3-2 - their fourth successive victory - with two goals from Mitchell Smith and one from Barry Jeans.

Liam Newman struck a hat-trick as Portsville Park defeated Horndean Reserves 6-3. Sheldon Chester, Liam Lyons and Lewis Amey also scored.

Old Boys Athletic moved to the top of the Portsmouth Sunday League Division 3 after beating Cross Keys Athletic 4-2.

Luke Chalcraft took his tally for the season to seven with a hat-trick for Old Boys with Connor Jeffery also scoring. Michael Carter and Stuart Mitchell replied.

Ben Kerr netted twice as Wicor Mill defeated Cosham Trades 6-5.

Ben Burgess, James King, Simon Woods and James Casey also netted as leaders Wicor claimed their third successive league win.

Taylor Hanson, Josh Parry, Callum Grigg and Morgan Easen (2) replied as Cosham dropped their first points.

ACFC maintained their 100 per cent startin Division 5 with a 4-1 win against Horndean Utd.

All three of the Division 6 games ended 1-0.

Shaun Tee was on target for Jubilee against Horndean Hawks while Freehouse B defeated FC Fenix and North End Lions beat Padnell Rovers.
