FA Cup is Gosport Borough's main priority

Borough face a difficult FA Cup second-qualifying round clash at home to Ramsgate on Saturday.

That is Gosport's priority but McAllister feels a win over Bournemouth will give his side impetus going into the weekend.

The boss said: '˜In a way we could do without the local cup game just before the FA Cup tie. A few of our players could do with a rest.

'˜After our recent results the team is playing with confidence. Winning is a good habit so we want to keep that going.'

Fareham Town face Petersfield Town at Love Lane and are expected to make changes.

The Reds drew AFC Croydon Athletic in the FA Vase first round yesterday.

Pete Stiles insists that competition and the Wessex League premier division are his main targets. 

The Fareham manager said: 'Our priorities are the FA Vase and the Wessex League. I will be looking to change things as much as I can and rest a few players.

'˜It is a case of trying to find the right balance because we want to progress into the next round if we can.'

Horndean are out to cause an upset at Southern League division one side AFC Totton. The Deans also face Eversely & California in the FA Vase.

Baffins go to Bashley in the national competition, with ties taking place on Saturday, October 13.
