The Reds have won six of their last seven games in front of their own fans and are joint-highest goalscorers at home in the league.

They boast 43 goals from 14 matches at their headquarters - the same total as leaders Alresford but from two fewer games.

Since losing 3-1 to neighbours AFC Portchester in November, the Reds have beaten Bashley 2-1, Horndean 3-0, Hamworthy 3-0, Cowes 3-2, Lymington 3-1 and Shaftesbury 5-1, as well as drawing 2-2 with Brockenhurst

Baffins manager Steve Leigh - whose side lost 3-2 at home to Fareham in August - believes the encounter has all the makings of a good match.

'It is a game that could easily go either way,' he said.

'Fareham possess one of the most potent attacks in the league and have been scoring goals for fun.

'We have been guilty in recent games of poor concentration.

'This has led us to give away some poor goals.

'If we don't concentrate for the full 90 minutes then Fareham will certainly punish us.

'We must cut out the silly mistakes.'

Baffins suffered further frustration on Tuesday when they lost yet another game to the weather.

Even though their home game was switched to Alresford, it was still postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Leigh hit out at some of the criticism aimed at him and the club over the series of postponements they have suffered.

In all, Baffins have had a remarkable 18 home league and cup ties called off since early October.

'There has been a lot of criticism on social media,' said Leigh.

'The club couldn't have done any more than it has to try and get games on.

'Losing the game at Alresford shows that it is not just us.

'It is easy for the keyboard warriors to criticise us and even some other managers have jumped on the bandwagon.

'They should worry about their own affairs.

'The situation is what it is and there isn't a lot we can do about it.'

Due to not having played a league game for a month, Baffins have slipped into the Premier Division’s bottom six. But they have a host of games in hand and will jump four places for starters if they win at Cams Alders.
