Fareham Town manager Pete Stiles was far from happy after his side lost their FA Cup extra preliminary qualifying round tie to a 76th minute penalty at Frimley Green.

It is the second time in three seasons the Surrey side have knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup.

Stiles felt his team were knocked out by an outrageous decision.

‘Garry Moody clearly won the ball and everybody was amazed when the referee awarded a penalty,’ said Stiles.

‘It was unbelievable.

‘After they scored we then tried to force the game too much

‘In the second half we opened them up and created numerous chances.

‘To win games you have to score and we didn’t.

‘Last time they beat us they deserved to win, but that wasn’t the the case this time.

We were the better team and looked like the only ones to win it until the penalty.’

Moody was shown a yellow card for his challenge on Reece Connolly, who picked himself up to fire the spot-kick past keeper Dan Kempson.
