The front man is in his second spell at the club after starting the season with neighbours AFC Portchester.

The manager believes Woods is a great fit for his team.

'I just feel the way Simon plays fits well with us,' said Stiles.

'Since coming back he has started scoring goals again.

'Some players just seem to do well playing for certain teams and clubs.

'˜Things didn't work out for whatever reason at Portchester and we are glad to have him back

'He gives us another option and knows where the back of the net is.

'His good pace allows him to run at defenders and gives us a different dimension.

'He works well with Scott Hamilton and Garry Austin up front or whoever we go with up top.

'It gives us a potent strike-force.'

The Reds have done well this season, moving into the top 10 of the Wessex League premier division.

Results have taken a hit recently, though, because of a spate of injuries.

'We have been decimated by injury,' added Stiles.

'This weekend I had 14 players unavailable.

'I have never known such a situation.

'We even had two players blow up in the first five minutes of training.

'Maybe that is because they are trying to come back too early

'We just need to be patient and ride out the storm.

'Leagues are not won or lost in October or November.

'Hopefully the situation will improve between now and Christmas.

'I have managed to put together a strong squad on a not very big budget.

'The only real funding we get is from sponsors and people coming through the gate.'

There is a tough week ahead for the Reds with two challenging away games.

On Tuesday night they are in local derby action at Baffins Milton Rovers.

Next Saturday they travel to Shaftesbury.
