The 25-year-old is scheduled to return to full training following a hamstring injury sustained earlier this month.

Donohue suffered the grade 1 tear during a reserve match at Reading two weeks ago.

That aborted another comeback following a summer blighted by illness and injury for the unfortunate left-sided player.

The former Chesterfield man has yet to appear in first-team action this season, making just one squad.

He was pencilled in to start at Blackpool in the second match of the campaign, only to damage his groin during shooting practice in the build up.

Donohue's pre-season was wrecked by a blistered foot and then glandular fever, sidelining him for all Blues friendlies.

He subsequently featured for the reserves in a Premier League Cup qualifier at Plymouth earlier this month.

However, the following outing at Reading lasted 59 minutes before withdrawn after a hamstring pull.

Donohue has made 35 appearances since joining from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee in August 2017.
