The former Pompey management duo now on Luton's books

For Paul Hart is assistant manager to Nathan Jones at Luton Town.

And with Andy Awford head of the Hatters’ Academy, they represent two former Blues bosses on the books of the League Two club.

Hart was appointed in May, having earlier worked with Jones in Charlton’s youth set-up.

Yet Pompey followers will remember his nine months and 15-day spell as Fratton Park boss during their Premier League years.

He was installed as caretaker manager for the final 14 games of the 2008-09 campaign following the February 2009 sacking of Tony Adams.

That appointment was made permanent in the summer, yet on November 24, 2009, he was dismissed following a disastrous start to the season.

In total, Hart lost exactly half of his 30 matches in charge, winning nine times.

Awford is enjoying success with Luton’s youth set-up, overseeing the emergence of several into the first team this season, including right-back James Justin.

His mutually-agreed exit as Pompey boss occurred in April 2015.

That ended more than a year at the Fratton helm, having initially operated as caretaker boss at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

The Blues’ Hall-of-famer kept the club in the Football League during a six-game period following the dismissal of Richie Barker.

That impressive performance earned him the job permanently, yet he departed on April 13, 2015, following defeat at Morecambe.

Awford won 20 of his 55 matches in charge, losing 18 of them.
