Maidenhead's form is pretty poor, with 15 goals conceded in three games and none having been scored. Realistically, we have an excellent chance of victory.

It would be different if Alan Devonshire's side approached this FA Cup match on the back of some superb wins, but that is far from the case.

They will obviously be up for it, yet we have the quality to get the result. There is too much talent in our squad and it's the kind of game we should be walking over.

Where I am a little bit concerned is the fact this match is live on BT Sport. Pompey televised matches always concern me, we've been here too many times and had miserable outcomes.

In terms of team selection, I'd like to see some game time for a few of the squad players. I know Kenny Jackett is a fan of consistency and doesn't make that many changes, but I feel in this instance it would be worthwhile.

So let's hand Danny Rose a chance. He's a fans' favourite and when he came into the team last season changed the performances. Had it not been for the injury, he may still be in the side now.

Obviously the strong performances of Tom Naylor and Ben Thompson have not given Rose the chance to get back in, which is fair enough. But this match is the perfect opportunity for someone like Rose to be handed match minutes.

I would also like to see Louis Dennis and David Wheeler on the bench, introduced in the second half so we can see what they can do. It's just a shame Joe Mason is now injured.

We'll be coming up against a Maidenhead side with Ryan Bird and, I have to say, he will probably score!

For us, he always worked hard, and we seem to have an annoying habit of conceding goals against ex-players. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bird also on the scoresheet on Saturday.
