What was your opinion of that?

We were bullied and hussled and couldn’t get the ball down to play in that first half.

The first 20 minutes it was so scrappy and early on you want to start well, get corners and look likely.

Instead, once again, we see our players bullied by bigger players and they just couldn’t cope.

Before the game I was so optimistic – now the alarm bells are ringing louder than ever.

I am not concerned, though, we should be able to get enough wins at home for the play-offs.

Clearly the decisive penalty was not agreed with by the travelling support.

I thought we were a bit unlucky with the decision.

There were lots of players around John Akinde and he went down very easily, it was extremely soft.

We had two good penalty shouts ourselves, one when Adam McGurk looked like he had been held down and the other a player on the floor handled it.

Your man of the match?

It is hard to give anyone man of the match after watching that, but Adam Webster is the only one who came out with any credit.

I thought he did well at the back and once again showed how much he has grown this season.

You can see his confidence is high and he deserves credit for that display, the only player that can.

What did you make of the Pompey fan reaction at the final whistle?

I thought it was disgusting. The team had given its all and, in my eyes, it’s not right to them swear at them.

Don’t be at the game if you won’t support the team.

From what I could see, there was abuse directed at the players when they came over to the clap the supporters.

Michael Doyle and Kyle Bennett were in the firing line and heard it, which really disappointed me.
