Gallen announced as Pompey assistant boss

Joe Gallen has been confirmed as Kenny Jackett's assistant manager.

The 44-year-old has previously worked with the Blues’ new boss at Millwall, Wolves and Rotherham.

He signed a two-year deal to join Jackett at Fratton Park.

The pair successfully guided Wolves to the League One title in the 2013-14 season.
