The Devon side play in the Western League - two divisions below Borough - and have already won two games in the competition.

They beat Bradford Town 2-0 and Moneyfields’ Southern League Division 1 South rivals Mangotsfield United 2-1, both at home, in previous rounds.

The tie is scheduled to be played next Tuesday, September 22 (7.45pm).

'It is a tough draw,' said Borough boss Shaun Gale of the 340-mile round trip to the west country.

'Every club in the FA Cup wants a home draw but you get what comes out of the hat.

'We all love the magic of the FA Cup and would love to have a good run in it.

'I have been around long enough to know that the FA Cup can throw up some shock results.

'We know that we are in for a difficult game and will show Tavistock the right respect.

'It is a one off game and all about getting it right on the day.

'You hope that your big players will produce.

'We will prepare properly and hopefully come out the right side of a tricky test.'

Dave Carter didn't get the home tie he was hoping for as Moneyfields have been drawn away to Aylesbury United.

The Ducks play at the same level as Moneyfields in Division One Central of the Southern League.

'It isn't the worst of draws and not the best of draws either,' said Carter.

'We were hoping for a home game after our long trip to Cinderford in the league on Saturday.

'I believe they play on Wednesday nights, though, and that will give us an extra 24 hours to recover for it.

'We played them a few years ago when we were in the same league so know a little bit about them.

'They will be a good footballing side and possess a nice surface to play on.

'We know that they will be decent but so are we.

'I fancy our chances against any team playing at our level.

'We have a big seven days of football coming up and I am looking for three points from our first league game and also to progress further in the FA Cup.'

Aylesbury beat minnows Long Crendon 3-0 in the preliminary round.

The Ducks were national news back in the 1990s when they reached the first round proper six years running.

In 1994/95 they reached the third round with the ‘duck walk’ celebration featuring striker Cliff Hercules making its way onto A Question of Sport.

Max Hercules - son of Cliff - is currently a first team player at Aylesbury.
