Gosport Borough equalise twice but suffer defeat at Privett Park

Twice the home side managed to draw level but a goal in the 82nd minute gave the visitors the win.

The opening minutes of the game were end-to-end with both sides trying to apply early pressure.

Tony Lee, for the hosts, has his cross into the box collected by Beaconsfield's goalkeeper before the visitors had a shot go wide of the post.

On 12 minutes, Gosport went behind.

Alexander Cathlinefound space in the penalty area and headed the ball into the net.

Home goalkeeper Patrick O'Flaherty comfortably saved an effort by Anthony Mendy in the 20th minute.

Two minutes later, Borough equalised. Patrick Suracicurled the ball into the bottom corner of the goal.

With the break approaching, Mendy's volley blazed over the bar.

Beaconsfield took the lead on the 48th-minute when Mendy slotted his low shot into the goal.

Gosport had trouble responding and were doing all they could to not fall further behind.

Jordan Ajanlekoko headed over the bar and teammate Charlie Losasso's effort was saved by the goalkeeper.

His free-kick a few minutes later went wide.

On 74 minutes the home side drew level again. Suraci swung the ball into the box and Lee's header found the net.

But Gosport were dealt a late blow in the 82nd minute and went behind for a third time.

Losasso fired his low shot into the goal.

In added time, Beaconsfield had a player sent off.
