The hard work must start to be rewarded with more consistency as Gosport Borough prepare to face Dorchester Town.
Player-manager Craig McAllister feels his team are not far away from getting the wins they need.
They will be looking to iron out a few sloppy errors in games.
McAllister is hoping to see his team get the win on Saturday in the Southern League premier division south match (3pm).
He said: ‘It's really frustrating because we had opportunities again to get something out of the game.
‘We had a lot of ball in the second half but didn't take our opportunities.
‘It's that inconsistency again a word I've used after four or five games recently.
‘We are still having little sloppy moments and lack of concentration and I keep telling the same people about that.
‘After starting the game really well we could have been one or two nil up inside the first 10 minutes.
‘Then we were sloppy at a throw-in and as a result conceded a goal.
‘We must stop those things happening.
‘It requires a little bit of extra hard work to stop that happening and the players have spoken about that amongst ourselves.
‘It’s little slight things and we are getting punished time and time again for.’
Borough conceded two goals in quick succession and though Tony Lee pulled a goal back they ended up empty handed.
McAllister added: ‘At half-time we talked and felt we had a real good chance to get something and that it was in our hands.
‘But we just couldn't get that second goal.
‘It was another defeat and really disappointing because we are going over the same things again, over and over.’
Borough sit 16th in the league four points above the relegation zone with a game in hand.
