Three successive defeats, two in cup competitions, have proved a set-back to Borough's progress.

McAllister is convinced Borough can turn their fortunes around, starting on Saturday.

They certainly haven't got any reason to panic in the league.

But they want to push on up the table and get established in the top half.

The Borough boss said: '˜I have been reasonably happy with our league form.

'˜We won our last away game by being resilient and defending well.

'˜Since then we have been guilty of conceding poor goals

'˜We can't go out every week needing to score four or five goals to win a football match.

'˜As a team we must defend better and work harder to stop balls being put into our box.

'˜Away from homes team come at us a bit more and that suits us as an attacking team.

'˜It gives us more space to counter-attack.

'˜Walton play on a 3G pitch and that too could suit the type of passing football we try to play.

'˜It is time to stop the rot.'

Apart from the injured Lucas McCartney Borough have a full strength squad to choose from.

McCartney has been troubled with a knee problem since pre-season and is undergoing rehabilitation.

McAllister knows his side have to tighten up dramatically.

Despite the 4-3 defeat to Blackfield & Langley he still felt there were positives to take from the game.

He added: '˜We started well with a great tempo passing the ball around well.

'˜We got a goal but once they equalised we crumbled again to trail 3-1 at the break.

'˜That can't keep happening.

'˜I had a real go at half-time and we improved in the second half.

'˜We had a real go at them and created lots of chances.'
