Halford in talks with Forest

Greg Halford has held talks with Nottingham Forest over a move to the City Ground.

New Forest boss Sean O’Driscoll, much like his predecessor – former Pompey manager Steve Cotterill, is a keen admirer of the versatile defender.

And now Halford is expected to be the next player out of Fratton Park, although the Blues still owe a significant fee to his former club Wolves.

The payment is reportedly in the region of £200,000, which could slow down Halford’s departure.
