They lost in the first round six times, and in 2007/08 famously reached the fourth round.

On four occasions, though, Hawks have been dumped out at the second qualifying round stage.

They lost to Eastbourne-based Langney Sports in a replay in 1999/2000, Hawks’ second ever season.

They were beaten 2-0 at home by Bath City in 2004/05 before suffering a dismal 1-0 loss at lower tier North Leigh in 2012/13.

The following season, they were beaten 3-2 at home in a replay by Gloucester City.

Hawks have beaten two Football League clubs in the FA Cup - knocking out Notts County and Swansea en route to that famous day at Anfield in 2008.
