Hawks to face Notts County in FA Trophy last 16

Hawks will have to overcome National League Notts County if they are to secure a spot in the FA Trophy quarter-finals.

Paul Doswell's troops are drawn to face Neal Ardley's former Football League side in the fifth round at Westleigh Park on Saturday, February 6.

Hawks will be able to draw on fond cup memories from the last time they came up against County.

Shaun Gale - then manager - guided his side to a 1-0 giant-killing victory at Meadow Lane in the second round of the FA Cup in the 2007-08 season - a run which ended with a defeat against Liverpool at Anfield in round four.

Hawks reached the last-16 without kicking a ball after Altrincham - scheduled round four opponents - were forced to forfeit the tie on Friday after a positive coronavirus test within their camp.

Meanwhile, National League County secured their spot in the last-16 courtesy of a 2-1 win at Stockport County at the weekend.
