Lee Bradbury has been approached by Hartlepool over their vacant managerial position.

The News understands the Hawks have given their boss permission to hold talks with the Pools.

Matthew Bates was sacked last week after just nine months in charge at Victoria Park.

Bradbury has led the Hawks into the National League for the first time in the club’s history after successive promotions.

The Westleigh Park side sit 19th in the table ahead of Saturday’s clash against Braintree.

Bradbury is currently the bookmakers’ favourite to land the Hartlepool job.
