Kenny Jackett said his side controlled the first 60 minutes of the match.

Here is what Pompey fans thought of the performance:

Tom Haustead

It was a real test today, coming off a loss in our last league game and changing the side and formation due to Curtis' absence.

We passed with flying colours. A great first half performance and after a goal from them we rode out the storm and there were no real dramas seeing out the game. A very good away performance - again!

It's not the 3 and 4-0 wins that get you promotion, it's consistently finding a way to win by the odd goal in closer games and we are showing we very much have that trait.

Another big box ticked too in managing to bounce back with a good win following a loss.

Mike Robinson

It's great to win and great to remain top but we are not a great side.

A game we should have strolled 4 or 5 nil and in the end we were hanging on. Also look at the league position of the teams we have played, apart from Peterborough and Doncaster, they are all well down the table including the whole of the bottom 9 with the exception of Bradford.

I hope we can keep it up but we have not really looked totally convincing in most of our games.

Should have had the game sewn up by half time, but failed to take our chances, leaving us under pressure for the last half an hour.

But then that's what happens when you leave a proven goalscorer on the bench. Lucky for us Wimbledon are a poor side, awful touch by Evans for their goal luckily it didn't cost us any points.

We lost any threat we had when he sent on Close and Walkes. Jackett needs to be more offensive at times.

Wimbledon were there for the taking, a chance to boost our goal difference wasted.

Hawkins offered the usual no threat at all. One goal in nearly 800 minutes of football and 28 per cent on target tells you that.

Let's hope we can reflect our 2nd half performance, what a difference from 1st half...but hey 3 points on the road to take home.

A win is a win! I will take it all day long

Great form away from home
