The unbeaten table-toppers are 10 points clear of second-placed Paulsgrove having played three games fewer.

However, the biggest threat to their title chase looks set to come from defending champions Bush Hill.

At present, Infinity are 16 points better off than third-placed Bush, although they have played five matches more.

And the two heavyweights still have to lock horns at Infinity.

It's all set for an intriguing run-in and Thompson, who takes his side to Lyndhurst this weekend, feels it's a challenge that should be enjoyed.

‘I’m looking forward to it,’ he said.

‘We’re not mid-table waiting around for the season to finish and we’re playing for nothing.

‘We’ve got it all to play for.

‘That should be enough motivation for my players to see it through, really.

‘If Bush Hill win all their games, it still puts them a point behind us.

‘We’ve got seven games to go and we have to win every single game.

‘Every game is going to be like a cup final.'

Infinity's form has hit a bit of a wobble of late.

They’ve dropped four points in their last four league matches - courtesy of draws with Locks Heath and Paulsgrove.

In addition, they were also beaten 3-1 by Colden Common in the semi-finals of the Hampshire Premier League Cup.

‘We know we’re not in the best of from at the minute,' added Thompson, whose men crushed Lyndhurst 14-0 earlier in the season.

‘From a management point of view, it’s a sign of a good team when you’re not playing well but you’re still not getting beat.

‘The positives are we know we haven’t played well, but we still haven’t lost (in the league) and it’s still in our hands.'
