The Pompey loanee started the match and played 71 minutes.

He caused problems for Arsenal but couldn’t quite apply the finishing touch when he had possible opportunities to net for the non-league side.

Instead it was goals from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott that took the Gunners through to the quarter-finals where they will face more non-league opposition in Lincoln.

For National League side Sutton it was a great night and they gave as good as they got for long spells against the Premier League giants.

May & Co will certainly hold their heads high after giving an excellent account of themselves.

The Pompey youngster played well and will gain a lot from the brilliant FA Cup run he has enjoyed being part of.
