The winger hasn't featured for the Blues since the 2-0 home defeat to Gillingham on October 6.

He missed the Checkatrade Trophy win at Crawley and the League One victory over AFC Wimbledon because of his commitments with the Republic of Ireland.

Curtis played for their under-21s against Israel, before being recalled to Martin O'Neill's senior set-up for Eire's Nations League game against Wales.

The former Derry City player, who has six goals and five assists this term for Pompey, returned to the south coast this week as the Blues step up their preparations for Saturday's game against Fleetwood.

Jackett congratulated him on his Ireland duties, but stressed he needs Curtis back firing and raring to go for the League One leaders.

The manager said: 'Yeah, he's okay (fitness-wise). Congratulations to him for getting into the Irish squad again.

'He's enjoyed training with those boys, but now with three games in a week and back training with Portsmouth he needs to make sure he integrates and picks up where he left off.'
