Victory at Rochdale put the Blues top of League One and Jackett wants to see his players utilise the feel-good factor around the club to cash in on the busy run of matches.

He said: '˜We have got to be excited by the period and look forward to it.

'˜The games come thick and fast, that's great.

'˜You have to see it positively, see it as an opportunity to try to get points in a short space of time. But also you have to earn every single point you get. You can't just expect it to happen.

'˜You are looking forward to it and you are enthusiastic but you also know it won't come easy.

'˜Everybody else is trying to do the same thing.'

The Pompey fans have been treated to some good performances and results this season.

Jackett and his players really appreciate the support of the crowd and are aiming to keep everybody enjoying the positive vibes.

He added: '˜A big one is the players being able to feed off the crowd and the crowd off the players.

'˜On Saturday (at Rochdale) there was a good bond. Our crowd really do get behind the players.

'˜We went on and put in a good performance and we have a big crowd, a positive crowd. '˜They are looking for good things, looking for good players and they want to get behind the team. It is a privilege for us in those circumstances.'
