Moneyfields win as other non-league sides struggle

MONEYFIELDS battled hard to beat mid-table side Thatcham Town FC 2-0 in their weekend fixture.

After a tough first half, Moneyfields started the second half with a bang, as Steve Hutchings fired them ahead in the 54th minute, before scoring again in the 86th.

Fareham Town were less fortunate in their game, losing to Lymington Town 3-0.

Further afield, Petersfield and Bognor Regis Town were in action against Verwood and Walton Casuals respectively.

Despite a close game for the first 70 minutes, the Rams lost 5-2, with both of their goals coming from Jordan Neal.

Bognor Regis Town struggled against an impressive Walton Casuals side, losing 2-0 and dropping out of the FA Trophy.

AFC Portchester's away game against Hamble was called off in the 20th minute, after the referee deemed the pitch to be unplayable.
