Moneyfields’ superb 15-match unbeaten record in the Southern League east division came to an end.

Dave Carter’s troops suffered a 3-2 loss against Uxbridge at Dover Road tonight.

The hosts had three shots cleared off the line in the last 10 minutes but Moneys couldn’t find an equaliser.

Boss Dave Carter revealed injuries and suspensions have finally took their toll.

He said: ‘We just had too many people missing and had to borrow a few players for the game.

‘It was bound to catch up with us in the end. We have to dust ourselves off and go again.’

Sam Pearce levelled for Moneyfields after they fell behind to an early goal.

The hosts found themselves trailing 3-1 after 65 minutes before Jamie White reduced the arrears to set up a nail-biting finish – but Moneys could not grab an equaliser.

Moneys slipped to second in the table. However, they are level on points with leaders AFC Rushden & Diamonds with a game in hand.

In the Russell Coates Cup, AFC Portchester cruised to a 5-1 success against Petersfield Town at the Blanchard Wells Stadium.

Doubles from Andy Todd and Bobby Scott put the Royals firmly in charge in the opening 40 minutes.

The Rams pulled a goal back a minute before the interval, but Brandon Miller rounded off a comprehensive Portchester win with a fifth goal in the 68th minute.

A second-half Ibra Sekajja strike earned Bognor Regis a spot in the FA Trophy first-round proper.

The Rocks picked up a 1-0 third-qualifying round replay win over Hemel Hempstead at Nyewood Lane.
