Carter said: ‘Fawley will probably sit in and it will be up to us to break them down.

‘Their pitch is also on the small side so we will have to adapt to that.

‘We are pleased to be top of the league coming up to the half-way stage.

‘It is up to us to make sure we maintain our lead because winning promotion is our main focus this season.

‘Both my new players are lefties so that’ll give extra balance to the team,’ said Birmingham.

‘We know Amesbury are a young, honest, hard-working team.

‘It will be a case of us matching their work-rate to allow our quality to show through.
