Dave Fuge’s new-look side had led Fleetlands 2-0 and 3-2 in their first game of the season before losing 4-3.

But there was no such concerns this time as Locks won for the first time since a 4-0 victory over Chamberlayne almost 10 months ago.

They ended last term without a win in 10 HPL Senior Division games, but Fuge – who led Locks to the HPL title in 2012/13 - has rebuilt the squad since returning to the club in the summer.

Laurence Wall was the only player who started against Chamberlayne who also started at the weekend.

Jordan Whiteley put Locks ahead just after the half-hour mark and Chay Dugan, a summer arrival from Infinity, double the lead just before the break.

An own goal made it 3-0 before Joe Biggold and sub Ryan Bath completed the victory.

Former Moneyfields, Horndean and Fleetlands striker Brandon Jewell netted two late goals as Liss hammered Sway 6-0 in the HPL top flight.

Jewell - who had netted in his side’s opening 5-1 loss at Paulsgrove - struck on 86 and 88 minutes.
