The table-toppers are 10 points clear of second-placed Paulsgrove, with Kevin Cutter, Jamie Wilkinson, Jamie White and Kurt Watts grabbing the goals in their latest success.

More importantly, a 19th league victory in 22 games kept Thompson's unbeaten troops 15 points clear of third-placed Bush Hill - though they have played four games more, AND still have to host Bush.

On a 3G pitch at Front Lawn, Thompson was left a little frustrated at his side's failure to convert more of the numerous chances against Liphook.

‘If I’m being honest, it was men against boys really,' he said.

‘We dominated the game from the first whistle.

‘We missed so many chances.

‘The scoreline of 4-0 didn’t really reflect our dominance.

‘It was a really good performance, it just should have been more.

‘We’ve got eight league games to go now. I’ve said to the lads ‘if we don’t get beat we win the league.’

‘But if we do slip up and drop a couple of points here and there, perhaps that’s when you can look back at games like Saturday.

‘Realistically, we should have had double figures (against Liphook).

‘We’ve just got to be a bit more ruthless in the 18-yard box.'

Cutter fired Infinity in front after 27 minutes, and Wilkinson headed home a Josh Cripps corner on 62 minutes.
